The short version: Countdown Pulse stores every countdown, reminder setting, and preference entirely on your device. There's no account, no cloud sync, and no server that ever sees your countdowns.
Overview
Countdown Pulse ("Countdown Pulse", "we", "us", or "our") is a mobile app for tracking multiple countdowns, birthdays, deadlines, anniversaries, trips, and events, with a live home-screen widget and optional local reminders. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app touches, how it's used, and the choices you have.
Countdown Pulse is a single-purpose utility. There is no account system, no login, and no cloud sync anywhere in the app. Every countdown you create, and every reminder you set, is stored only on your device.
By using Countdown Pulse, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please discontinue use of the app.
Countdowns & Local Storage
Every countdown you create, its title, target date and time, icon or emoji, accent color, and repeat setting, is stored entirely in local, on-device storage. Nothing about a countdown you create is uploaded, synced, or transmitted anywhere.
- There is no cloud backup or sync service in this version of the app, if you switch devices or reinstall, your countdowns are not automatically restored.
- The app requests no calendar access, no contacts access, and no location access, only the permissions strictly needed for local notifications, described below.
Reminders & the Widget
If you turn on an optional reminder for a countdown, it is scheduled entirely on your device using your operating system's local notification system. No server or push notification service is involved, we never see or receive any information about your reminders.
The home-screen widget reads your locally-stored countdown data directly on-device to display your next upcoming event. It does not send that data anywhere, and no additional data is collected by enabling the widget.
What We Never Do
- We never upload your countdowns. Titles, dates, and any other countdown data stay on your device. We have no backend that stores or receives this information.
- We never require an account. There is no sign-up or login anywhere in the app, so there is no profile of you for us to build in the first place.
- We never access your calendar or contacts. Countdown Pulse requests no permissions beyond what's needed for local notifications.
- We never sell your data. No data brokers, no third-party data sales, no advertising built on the contents of your countdowns.
Ads
Countdown Pulse is free to use, supported by light banner and native-style ads. There are no unskippable interstitial ads on core actions like creating or viewing a countdown, and no subscription paywall.
Ads are served through a third-party ad network, which may use standard advertising identifiers to serve and measure ads. This is unrelated to and separate from your countdown data, which the ad network never receives.

We do not use any data collected by the app for profiling, tracking across other apps, or automated decision-making.
How We Share Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. The only data shared with any third party is the following:
- Advertising network — serves light ads in the free tier, using standard mobile ad identifiers, entirely unrelated to your countdown content.
We may disclose data if required by law, regulation, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Countdown Pulse, our users, or the public.
Data Retention
- Countdowns and settings: Retained on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. We hold no copy.
- Reminders: Scheduled locally, and cleared automatically once triggered or when their associated countdown is deleted.
Your Rights & Choices
Because Countdown Pulse stores everything locally, on your device, most of your rights are already satisfied by design:
Delete Anytime
Delete any countdown directly within the app, or uninstall the app to remove everything at once.
Turn Off Reminders
Disable notifications for any countdown, or all notifications from the app, at any time.
Limit Ad Personalization
Use your device's OS-level controls to reset or limit ad tracking identifiers.

Security
- Countdown data and settings are protected by your device's own operating system storage security, the same as other locally-stored app data.
- Local reminders are handled entirely through your device's built-in notification system.
No method of storage is 100% secure. While we rely on your device's own OS-level protections, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
Countdown Pulse is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used the app in a way that concerns you, please contact us.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after a revised policy is posted constitutes acceptance of the changes.
